Samuel William "Bill" Daniels, Jr.

Samuel William “Bill” Daniels, Jr., 57, of Richmond passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024. He was born on June 7, 1967, and raised in Bedford, VA. A son of Katherine Carter Daniels Taylor and the late Samuel William Daniels, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Samuel Willis Taylor, Jr.; stepsister, Missy Taylor and numerous other extended family.

Bill was a graduate of Liberty High School class of 1985. After high school he attended VCU University in Richmond. He loved the outdoors and traveling, and trips to the beach. In past years he enjoyed Air Brushing and making shirts. His true passions in life were art, music, the Washington Redskins, animals, especially his four-legged friends, Something, Pearl and Mr. Pibbs. He worked in numerous restaurants and bars throughout the Richmond area but for many years he worked at Bottoms Up Pizza.

Bill is survived by his loving Mother, Katherine Carter Daniels Taylor; his brother, Bobby Daniels and his wife, Cherie; two nieces, Alex Daniels Miller and her husband, Chris and Bobbie Rhea Daniels; one nephew, Wesley Daniels; great-niece, Rowan Miller; stepbrother, Samuel Willis Taylor, III; stepsister, Tammy Taylor. Also surviving are numerous other extended family and many friends.

A memorial service and celebration of Bill’s life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bart Hogge officiating.
