Samuel Morris Lane passed away on February 5, 2023, he was the son of the late Jesse E. Lane and Bertha Hart Lane.
He was born on May 6, 1955 in Pittsylvania County, VA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Lane; a brother, Jesse Lane; and a sister-in-law, Debbie Lane. Sam is survived by his wife of Tina Lane of 35 years; sons, Samuel Lane and Chris Lane (Jillian); daughter, Ashley Lane; sister, Shirley Morton (Wayne); brothers, Everett Lane (Bonnie), Marvin Lane (Phyllis), and Hillary Lane; 10 grandchildren, one great grandchild, brother-in-law, Albert Joyner (Lynn), and a host of nieces and nephews.
Following his request, there will be no funeral service.
A visitation will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 3 – 5 p.m.
Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg is assisting the family.
