Our beloved Sandra Allietta Peters Cross, 70, of Amherst took her last earthly breath Tuesday, December 26, 2017, surrounded by her family and friends. Being God’s child, she is now in the arms of her Savior Jesus, breathing the very breath of her Heavenly Father.
Born August 30, 1947, Sandra was the daughter of Frances Dinkins Peters and the late Ralph Echols Peters, Jr. Sandra was preceded in death by husband Kenneth T. Cross; brother, Richard D. Peters and wife Judy.
Left to treasure Sandra’s memory are brother Ryland R. Peters, Sr. and wife Gladys; sister Rhonda P. Hillsman and husband Warren; sister Wanda W. Slack; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, friends; and cat Duchess. She will be missed tremendously by all, but her inspiring example and thoughtful spirit will live on inside us.
Sandra was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend, loving all of us unconditionally. She attended Phillips Business College, retiring as a billing supervisor of Radiology Consultants where she worked for 26 years. She has been a member of First Baptist Church of Monroe since April 2, 1962.
Family and friends will be received at the home of Frances Peters. A memorial service to celebrate Sandra’s life will be held on Saturday January 27, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Monroe.
