Sandy Hicks, 68, of Rustburg passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016,
She was the wife of the late “A.C.” Hicks Jr., for 43 years.
Born March 6, 1948 in Lynchburg, VA, she was a daughter of Thomas Claude Robertson, who preceded her in death, and Doris Robertson.
Sandy was employed by Sam’s Club, was a member of the Moose Lodge #715, and the Amateur Pool Association.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Trina and Stuart Long; her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Alicia Hicks; five grandchildren: Baleigh Hicks, Savhanna Long, Doriann Hicks, Aiden Long and Dabney Hicks; her sister Donna McFalls; her brother Thomas “Dickie” Robertson and wife Nancy, brother-in-law Ray Hicks and wife Hilda; sister-in-law Shirley Bryant; her aunt Maxine Dean and husband Buddy and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Wednesday April 20, 2016 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg from 6 to 8 p.m.
