Sandra Jarels Overstreet

Sandra Jarels Overstreet, 56, of Bedford, died Sunday, April 8, 2012. Born June 22, 1955 in Salem; she was a daughter of Nellie Green Jarels and the late Dennis Jarels.

In addition to her mother, Sandra is survived by her husband, William David Overstreet; her daughter, Tammy Lawhorn; her son, Justin Overstreet; her step-son, David Overstreet; three grandchildren; four brothers, Mike Jarels and wife, Sandy Gale, Danny Jarels and wife, Karen, Rodney Jarels and wife, Vicki, and Bobby Jarels; one sister, Barbara Ellen Coronado and husband, Tony; and numerous nieces and nephews.

We thank our special friends and family for all your help and support, as well as Gentle Shepherd Hospice for the great care given to Sandra and your support during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2316 Atherholt Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501 in her memory.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Sowder officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
