Sandra Lee Johnston

Sandra Lee Johnston, 69, of Lynchburg died Wednesday August 25, 2010.

Sandra was born December 6, 1940 in Lynchburg, the daughter of the late Charlie E. Johnston and Mary Wolfrom Johnston. Sandra graduated from E.C. Glass High School and the College of William & Mary. She was a passionate school teacher who retired with over 30 years service at Concord Elementary School. Sandra was also a lifetime member of Fairview Christian Church.

She is survived by two brothers; V. Clay Johnston and his wife Sharon and David F. Johnston all of Forest, two nephews; Vernon C. Johnston, Jr. of Rustburg and Lee H. Johnston of Forest, two nieces; Becky J. Lambert and Anne E. Johnston both of Lynchburg, a great niece Samantha B. Lambert and great nephew Elijah W. Johnston both of Lynchburg, and a very special cousin Gail M. Stokes of Lynchburg.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday August 27, 2010 at Fairview Christian Church.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday August 27, 2010 at Fairview Christian Church with the Rev. Joshua Bell officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
