Sandy Jean Thurman Roberts, 49, of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Charlottesville. She was the wife of Melvin Thomas Roberts.
Sandy was born February 9, 1968 in Lynchburg, a daughter of the late Melvin Thurman and Phyllis Burke Thurman of Lynchburg.
In addition to her husband Melvin Roberts she was survived by her children: Jennifer Marie Roberts of Lynchburg, Michael Thomas Roberts of Buena Vista, Megan Nichole Roberts of Lynchburg, Melvin Thomas Roberts Jr. Of Lynchburg, and Angel Renee Roberts of Lynchburg. Grandchildren: Daniel Lee Roberts, Destiny Marie Miller, Shy’anne Nichole Miller, Gracelynn Jay Roberts, Brandon Lee Witt, Alianna Grace Witt, Cayden Michael Witt, James Earl Roberts. She was also survived by her siblings Kelly Watson and Mark Thurman. And many cousins, and friends.
Sandy was also preceded in death by her brother Ronnie Lee Thurman.
The family will hold a memorial service for Sandy at a later date.
