Sarah Helen Jeter Cox

Sarah Helen Jeter Cox passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at The Elms of Lynchburg. She was the wife of the late Leonard L. Cox. Born on July 26, 1931, in Franklin County, she was the daugher of the late William T. Jeter and the late Veronica H. Jeter.

Sarah was retired from the Piedmont Label Company with over 25 years of service, and was a member of the Peaksview Christian Church.

Sarah is survived by her son, Ronald L. Cox, and his wife, Susan, of Lynchburg, VA, and her brother, Delbert T. Jeter, of Bristol, TN. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Rhonda Cox Kolhagen of Freeland, MI; Chad Cox of Lynchburg, VA; Matthew Cox of Brentwood, TN; and six great-grandchildren: Chase Kolhagen, Brooke Kolhagen, Gabe Cox, Corinne Cox, Deagan Cox, and Dylan Cox.

The family wishes to thank the staff at The Elms of Lynchburg and Gentle Shepherd Hospice for the care and kindness provided to Sarah and the family.

A private funeral service will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your favorite charity.
