Sarah Tyler Geddy St.Clair

Our beloved mother, Sarah Tyler Geddy St.Clair, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 21, 2012. Sarah was born in Richmond, Virginia in August 1929 to the late George Benjamin Geddy and Sarah Tyler Thomas Geddy. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Benjamin Geddy, Jr.

Sarah grew up in Williamsburg and Richmond and was a graduate of the Collegiate School. She married Robert Early \"Sandy\" St.Clair and they lived in Lexington before moving to Glasgow where Sandy established the Rockbridge Pharmacy. Sarah worked as a bookkeeper for the pharmacy and later as a full time legal secretary for the law office of Bill McClung in Lexington until she retired. Sarah took pride in the fact that she was able to help so many people through her work in the legal profession. She loved to garden and she cherished her family and friends and always had a kind word for everyone. Her grace, dignity, and love will always be in our hearts and memories.

Sarah is survived by her five children, Anne Tyler St.Clair and husband Mark Johnson of Lynchburg, Robert St.Clair and wife Dale of Longmont, Colorado, Michael St.Clair and wife Tammy of Waynesboro, Benjamin St.Clair and wife Mary of Louisville, Kentucky and Sarah Madison St.Clair of Potomac Falls, Virginia. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Spencer Butcher, Joshua St.Clair, Tanner St.Clair and her brother, Thomas Geddy and wife Patricia of Houston, Texas.

The family would like to express their grateful appreciation to the staff of the Bedford County Nursing Home for the care they provided Sarah over the past two years.

A private family service will be held in the spring. For those wishing to do so, the family suggests donations made in Sarah\"™s name to the Bedford County Nursing Home, 1229 County Farm Road, Bedford, Virginia 24523.
