Sharon Leigh Overstreet Bryant

Sharon Leigh Bryant, 63, of Bedford, VA; passed away on June 29th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones at Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Ronald Overstreet Sr. and survived in death by her loving mother, Margaret Orange- Overstreet.

Sharon was born on September 28th, 1960, in Bedford, VA. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1978.

She enjoyed cooking, reading the bible, and watching the birds that would visit her bird feeders. Her happiest moments though, were spent belly-laughing with her family or praising the Lord at her place of worship, Bible Truth Tabernacle

Sharon had the biggest heart, the most positive outlook on life, and the most contagious laugh you have ever heard. She would do anything for anyone and made friends wherever she went.

As well as her father, she was preceded in death by her special friend Richard Vance; her former husband, Edward Bryant, and brothers Michael Overstreet and Ronald Overstreet Jr.

Along with her mother, Sharon is survived by her sister, Angie O. Vance; son, Larry Holmes II (Sheri); daughters, Amanda Thomas (Dwayne) and Stephanie Overstreet (Tyler); niece, Jessica Burkhart; nephew, Nicholas Reed; great niece, Stefanie Burkhart (Dylan); granddaughters Ariel Thomas and McKenna Washington; great-great nieces Aiva and Kaylee McKinney; as well as her former husband Larry Holmes I, and her church family whom she loved dearly.

 A funeral service will be held at Tharp Funeral Chapel, Bedford on Friday, June 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Wayne Lawhorn officiating. Burial will follow at Suck Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
