Sharon Anette Wilson

Sharon “Nene” Wilson, 62, passed away on November 8, 2024. Born on December 28, 1962, in Lynchburg, VA, she was the beloved daughter of the late James Richard and Shirley Wilson. Sharon was preceded in death by her sister, Tammy Wilson Word.

Sharon dedicated 31 years of her life to Wendy’s fast food restaurant, where she served as an Assistant Manager. Her warm smile and friendly demeanor made her a familiar and cherished presence among customers and colleagues alike.

She leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: her daughter, Kimberley Wilson, and her grandson, Ethan James Wilson. Sharon is also survived by her five siblings: Katie Wilson, Evangelette Pannell (late Samuel), Stacey Brown (Nathan), Anissa Wilson, and Teree Hamlette (Ronald). Additionally, she is remembered fondly by her brother-in-law, Irvin Word, and a host of other family members and friends who loved her dearly.

A social reception in honor of Sharon will be held at Tharp Funeral Home on November 16th from 11 A.M. - 1 P.M.

Sharon’s legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
