Sheila Lynn Shepherd Elliott

Sheila Lynn Shepherd Elliott passed away on Tuesday November 16, 2021 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Sheila was born on Saturday August 11,1951 to Austin L. Shepherd and Loretta Cash Dalton. She was preceded in death by her mother and her son Chad Lotts; Paternal grandparents, David W. and Elizabeth Seay Shepherd of Fluvanna, VA; Maternal grandparents, Harry and Virginia Cash of Orange, VA; two uncles Stanley G. Shepherd Sr. of Richmond, VA, and Buddy Cash of Orange County; two Aunts, Ann Walker, and Harriet O’Brien of Orange County.



Sheila is survived by her loving daughter Shannon Lynn Gillispie (Scott); father Austin Shepherd and step-mother Dorothy Shepherd of Staunton, VA; one sister Elizabeth Conn; two brothers; David W. Shepherd III, and Hayes Dalton of Rustburg, VA; three nephews, Jesse Conn of  Fredricksburg, VA, William Conn of Richmond, VA  and Jonathan Shepherd, of Ashland Va; two nieces Lauren Conn, of Fredericksburg, VA, Denise F. Black of Mineral, VA  a cousin Stanley G. Shepherd Jr. of Richmond, VA,; a close aunt Emma Clark of Orange, VA and a step aunt Joyce Cash of Orange County, VA Will Conn,  two grandchildren Tyler Gillispie, and Dakota Gillispie, along with many other relatives and friends.

She was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion, and enjoyed reading, word puzzles and spending time with her grandkids. She was a sweet loving mother and friend.

A visitation will be held on Monday November 22, 2021 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Monday November 29, 2021at the Blue Grass Cemetery, Blue Grass Virginia.
