Sherrill Dean Messer Mooneyham

Sherrill Dean Messer Mooneyham, 76, of Moneta, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, November 15, 2014. She was the wife of the late Homer Mooneyham.
Born on June 25, 1938, Sherrill was the daughter of the late William Handy Messer and Annie Mae Williams Messer. She was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church.
Sherrill is survived by sons: Leonard (Rachel), James (Kelly), Marty (Amber); daughters: Geraldine (Hank), Teresa, (Tommy); 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Sherrill enjoyed her flower garden, cooking for family and friends and taking care of others. Her passion was sharing her details of the past with everyone she met. She was a mother to all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Sellers and Rev. Jimmy W. Dooley officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Land Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
