Sherry Ann Austin, 46, of Lynchburg, died peacefully on Sunday, February 12, 2017, surrounded by her family and special friends.
Born on June 24, 1970 in Lynchburg, Sherry was preceded in death by her father, William Byrd Austin, Sr. and is survived by her mother, Helen Austin Dooley, of Lynchburg. She is also survived by her sister, Vickie Willis and her husband, Mike, both of Lynchburg; her brother, William Byrd Austin, Jr. and his wife, Julie of Appomattox; and her many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 31 Kingston Road, Evington, with a celebration of life following at 1 p.m., with Pastor Brian Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Centra Hospice, 2097 Langhorne Road, Lynchburg, Va. 24501.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
