Shirley Martin Anderson

Shirley Martin Anderson of Forest, Va. Went to be with the Lord on Thursday November 21, 2024, at the age of 83.

Born in Roanoke, Virginia on September 30, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Silas and Mamie Martin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband of 56 years William “Bill” Anderson, Daughter: Jennifer Pendleton and Son: Jeff Anderson.

Shirley is survived by her son: W. David “Dave” Anderson, Jr. (Misty) Daughter in law: Amy Anderson, Grandchildren: Alex Garnier, Jessica Mays, Shea Peters, Caitlin Anderson, Haley Anderson, W. David Anderson III and Caila Anderson and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Shirley was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church and loved her church family. She loved to cook and bake for her family, and she loved to do cross stitch and crochet.

Visitation will be at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg, Va. on Monday November 25, 2024, from 6 to 8 PM. A graveside service will be held in Roanoke Va. on Tuesday November 26, 2024, at 11 am in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Tharp Funeral Home 220 Breezewood Drive Lynchburg, Va. 24502.
