Shirley Ann Hopper, 80, of Lynchburg died Sunday December 20, 2015. She was the wife of Bill Wayne Hopper, I.
Shirley was born April 29, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Casey Radecki and Veronica Bernowski Radecki. Shirley was a retired as a manager of the Rustburg DMV and was a member of Forest Road United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children: Susan Mills and husband Jim of Apopka, FL; Sandra Richards and husband Phill of Cantonement, FL; Victoria Godsoe and husband Bob of Lynchburg; Barbara Hopper of Lynchburg; Bill Wayne Hopper, II, of Dallas, TX; Deidrea Hopper Swint and husband David of Social Circle, GA; Crystal Hopper of Dallas, TX; Elizabeth Robinson and husband Michael of Duncan, OK; and James Hopper and wife Tara of Orlando, FL; twenty five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two siblings, Mary Myer and Tommy Radecki both of Ohio.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Paul Kenski, and two siblings: Joan Gunn and Billy Radecki.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. tonight Tuesday December 22, 2015 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.
A Celebration of Shirley’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday December 23, 2015 at Forest Road United Methodist Church with Pastor Raymond Buchanan officiating.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Forest Road United Methodist Church, 2805 Old Forest Rd. Lynchburg, VA 24501.
