Shirley Mae Taliaferro Quarles, 75, of Lynchburg, died Sunday, September 25, 2011, in Lynchburg.
Born April 9, 1936, in Lynchburg, Shirley was a daughter of the late Nellie Murphy Taliaferro and the late Timothy Clay Taliaferro.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Shirley is survived by her four daughters; Debora Kinney and her husband, Donald, of Lynchburg, Diane Green and her husband, Reginald, of East Point, GA, Darlene Jeffress, of Lynchburg, and Pam Quarles, of Lynchburg, six grandchildren; Derek Kinney and his wife, Tammy, of Lynchburg, Donald Kinney, Jr. and his wife, Kim, of Lynchburg, Danielle Golphin, of Atlanta, GA, Shanna Green, of East Point, GA, Qiana Hill, of Mexico, and David Jeffress, and six great grandchildren; Kia, DeAnte`, DeMetri, Brandon, Dynasty, and Alexis, a sister Margaret Taliaferro, an uncle Stanley Taliaferro, and other friends and relatives.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
