Shirley Dirom died Friday, May 1, 2015, after a long battle with dementia. Born in Lynchburg on June 16, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Edward Clay Coleman and Lennie Francis Coleman. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Patrick Hunter Dirom, Jr. and by her sisters, Frances Coleman Taylor and Helen Coleman Holland.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Clay Francis Dirom, and April Dirom Rickey and her husband, Stephen; her granddaughters, Caitlin Marie King, and Jessie Taylor Farinholt; and her sister, Jinx Coleman Grady.
A graveside service will be held Monday, May 4, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery in Lynchburg with the Reverend Brian Miles officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Canterbury Fellowship Endowment Fund, Westminster Canterbury Employee Education Fund or any charity of your choice.
