Silvio Christian "Babe" Tamaro

Silvio Christian “Babe” Tamaro, 88, of Forest, Virginia passed away on August 21, 2024. He was the son of the late Silvio Tamaro and Evelyn Tamaro. He was the husband of Nancy Tamaro for 65 years.

Silvio was born on February 28, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York. Silvio pursued his window cleaning business for 44 years.

Silvio was a member of New London Church in Forest, Virginia. He enjoyed golfing, home landscaping, street hockey, opera, and was a diehard Yankee fan. He loved watching sports, especially hockey, football, and baseball.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Donna (Jeff), Scott (Joyce), Mark (Beth), Jeffrey (Becky); grandchildren, Justin (Katie), Cameron (Jenna), Tyler, (Armando), Paige, Courtney (Kevin), Tanner (Taylor), Rachel Suhay (Zack); great-grandchildren, Riley, Everly, Emma, Luke, Weston, and Emery.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Gloria and Dorothy.

A visitation will be held at Tharp Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A private graveside service will be held at Virginia Memorial Park.
