Stanley Dwayne Moore, 72, of Forest, VA, died Saturday, May 7, 2022. He was born September 22, 1949, in Lynchburg, VA.  He was the son the late Robert “Pete” and Aleene Moore.

Stan was married to Claudia Bennett Moore. He was a dedicated father and grandfather.  He lived a vibrant and full life, enjoying time with family and friends. Stan began his career at Babcock and Wilcox and The Chapstick Company in Lynchburg before relocating to Richmond with A. H. Robbins.  He retired from the pharmaceutical industry in 1997, moving back to Lynchburg, VA. In retirement, Stan enjoyed being an active member of the Bedford Rifle and Revolver Club and served as Treasurer for many years.  He was also an active member of the Brushy Mountain Club. In both clubs, Stan loved shooting action pistol, skeet, and trap with so many beloved friends.  During his many years battling multiple sclerosis, and then myasthenia gravis, we are blessed to have had so many years with such a devoted husband, dad, and “Granddaddy”.  Stan is survived by his loving wife Claudia of Forest, VA; his daughter Jennifer Moore Bannister and her husband David of Apex, NC; his daughter Kristen Moore Shaddock and her husband Drew of Forest, VA, and four grandchildren: Andrew, Katie, and Parker Shaddock, and Liam Bannister.
