Stanley Thomas 65, also known as “Fink” and “Big Al” transitioned to his heavenly home on May 30,2025. He was born November 28, 1959, in Baltimore MD to the late Randolph Macon Thomas Sr. and Marian Gentry Thomas.
After moving from Baltimore he was raised in Monroe, VA. He was educated in Amherst County Public Schools. He served six years in the National Guard. He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, watching documentaries, and racing. He would often share many memories of his childhood, and his time spent in the military. If you knew him, you also knew that he loved fried chicken and a clean spotless car! He absolutely adored his granddaughter “Mila Boo” as he called her. He made sure to spend time with her each and every week. Mila could never do any wrong in his eye. He was very close to his brother-in-law Kerry spending time with each other and talking on the phone for hours several times a week. He also spent a lot of time at the home of his brother Randolph known to most as “Make” gathering with others there as well.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant grandchildren Makayla and Mason Hagar, four brothers Ronald, Herbert, Winifred, and Wilbur Thomas. He is survived by one devoted daughter Kendra Hagar and her husband Alex. His granddaughter Mila Hagar. His significant other for many years Mattie Callands. Four brothers, Randolph Thomas Jr of Monroe VA, Barry Thomas of Madison Heights VA, David Thomas of Lynchburg VA, and Gregory Thomas( Dianne) of Concord VA. Four sisters Alesia Scruggs of Monroe VA, Loretta Burford(Kerry), Janet Gaines(Charles) and Darnetta Thomas all of Madison Heights VA. Two aunts Lois Burford of Monroe, VA, Gloria Gentry and one uncle Charles Gentry Jr(Theresa) all of MD. He also leaves behind his best friend for over 30 years Melvin Foxx, cousins Phillip Miller and Otis Thomas and close friend Jesse Lovelace, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will be receiving family and friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Tharp Funeral Home Madison Heights Location. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg Chapel
