Stephanie Garrett

February 5, 1950 — March 28, 2022

Stephanie Lisa Garrett passed in the arms of Christ at home surrounded by her family just before sunrise on March 28, 2022. She is survived by her husband Robert Garrett, her sons Luke Franzelas, Christopher Franzelas and Scott Garrett (Step Son), her daughters Sandra Perez and Charis Shea, her brothers Jeffery Becker and John Becker, her sisters Shanuth Octavio, Sue Frazier Brown and Shari Kieling, her grandsons Logan Franzelas, Alexander Franzelas, Jonathan Perez, and Gunner Garrett and her granddaughters, Skylar Franzelas, Emily Wilson, Lacee Franzelas, Anastasia Franzelas, Giana Perez and Saxon Garrett.

Stephanie was a fierce champion for Jesus, and her faith was an inspiration to all who encountered her. Being with Stephanie one could sense his presence, and love within her. She had a heart for the broken, a gift for words, and a light in her eyes that captivated.

Stephanie loved adventure and living the RV lifestyle with her husband as they traveled across the country exploring and finding beauty in all God’s creation. She was an artist, made beautiful quilts, wrote and published numerous short stories and poems, and was an avid journalist.

But mostly, Stephanie was a devoted and loving wife and mother. Her greatest joy stemmed from spending time with her family and she will be deeply missed, but forever carried in our hearts and memories until the day we see her again.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2022 in the University of Lynchburg Chapel at 2p.m. with a visitation held one hour prior. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
