Stephen C. Wright

Stephen Collins Wright, 89, of Moneta, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Augusta, GA on February 10, 1929. He was a son of the late Dr. Lewis H. Wright, and Alice Collins Wright. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Randolph Brooks Wright and a brother, Lewis David Wright.
Stephen was a member of Trinity Ecumenical Parrish. He was a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, Class of 1951. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, and at time of discharge attained the rank of Major. Stephen retired as an Aerospace Engineer from the Grumman Aircraft Corporation. He enjoyed reading, studying history and making airplane models.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Phyllis Smith Wright; a son, Gary E. Wright and his wife, Cheryl Ann Donlon; two grandchildren, Katherine Ruth Wright McNeal and her husband, Chris and Stephen Paul Wright.
