Stephen Vivian St. Armand, 84, of Lynchburg died Friday December 7, 2012. Twice married, his first wife was the late Pauline Lavertue St. Armand and his second wife Evelyn Montgomery George St. Armand of Lynchburg.
Stephen was born March 16, 1928 in Limestone, Maine a son of the late Thomas St. Armand and the late Alice Levesque St. Armand. Stephen honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was retired from the U.S. Bureau of Engraving where he worked as a proofreader. Stephen was active in his community belonging to the Knights of Columbus Council #595, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Moose Lodge, Order of Odd Fellows, Elks Lodge, and the American Legion. He was also a parishioner of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters: Ann Marie Santilli of Greenbelt, MD; Irene St. Armand of College Park, MD; and Jeanne St. Armand of Riverdale, MD, and one step-daughter Linda L. Early of Piedmont, SC. In addition to his 1st wife and parents he was preceded in death by five brothers Martin, Raymond, Clovis, Eliodore, and the Rev. Henri St. Armand, and one sister; Sister Agathe St. Armand.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held for Stephen at 3:00 p.m. Friday January 9, 2013 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard T. Mooney as celebrant. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
