Steven Kelly Kendall, 66, of Lynchburg, passed away at his residence on Friday, March 4, 2016. He was the loving husband of Stephani Burt Kendall.
Born on March 31, 1949, he was a son of the late Robert and Marjorie Kendall. Steven proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and the Virginia Army National Guard. For years he worked for the U.S. Park Service as a Ranger before his retirement.
In addition to his wife, Steven leaves behind his daughter, Marcelle Rowe and her husband, David of Remington, Va.; his son, Jean Robert Kendall and his wife, Karen Rostov Kendall of Virginia Beach; his grandchildren, Kendall Rowe, Coral Kendall, and Elizabeth Stead and her husband, John; and his great-grandson, John Stead, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 6, 2016, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg. A funeral service will take place in the Tharp Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 7, 2016, at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Virginia Memorial Park.
