Stuart James Turille, 87, of Lynchburg, VA, died Thursday, April 27, 2023.
Stuart was born July 31, 1935, in Minnesota, a son of the late Stephen James Turille and Caryl Erickson Turille. He was a good son, a devoted husband, a loyal friend, and a dedicated Wahoo. He simply was a good man!
Stuart graduated from UVA with a degree in business and NY University with a Masters in Banking/Finance. He worked for United Virginia Bank as Executive Vice President and, after retiring, served on many boards and charities from the Free Clinic to Youth Philanthropy. He always considered his greatest accomplishment to be his three sons – Stuart, Jr., Terry, and Randy.
In addition to his wife of 48 years, Barbara Martin Turille and his sons, Stuart is also survived by his stepdaughter, Angela; two daughters-in-law, Lisa, and Sherry; and his grandchildren, Elleri, Alanna, and Cymbeline; and a dear canine, Sonny.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
