Stuart Wayne Bobbitt, 61, of Bedford passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Born October 8, 1954; he was a son of Joanne Whorley Bobbitt and the late Junior Thomas Bobbitt.
Wayne was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who provided for his family for many years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Gayle Dooley Bobbitt; a special daughter, Christy Gillette and her husband, Casey; three grandchildren, Tyler, Laurel, and Landis; a devoted brother, Steve Bobbitt and his wife, Connie; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be conducted, 11 a.m., Thursday, April 28, 2016 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford with Rev. Donald Gillette officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bedford Life Saving Crew, PO Box 161, Bedford, VA 24523.
