Sylvia Steppe Peak, 79, of Lynchburg passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018.
Born January 30, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Shirley Steppe. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Denny Peak Sr., son, Gregory L. Peak; and sister Margaret Mosses.
Sylvia is survived by her sons, Robert Denny Peak, Jr., and Gary Holden Peak and wife Faith; daughter, Jennifer Thompson and husband Allen. Affectionately known as Meemaw to six grandchildren, Torey Devaney, Adam Peak, Jeremy Peak, Jessica Peak, Heather Thompson, Noah Thompson; seven great grandchildren, Isabelle, Emily, Morgan, Madison, Carter, Easton, Ava; and one brother, Bailey Steppe.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at New Chapel Baptist Church, Rustburg with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
