Sylvia L Woodnick

Sylvia L “Jackie” Woodnick, 91, of Evington, VA went home to her Lord on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. In addition to her precious cat Shana, she is survived by many family and friends, all of whom she held dear.

She is preceded in death by two wonderful husbands, which she loved and cared for until their death.

She was a receptionist/bookkeeper until retirement. She volunteered at many Lynchburg area services. She was most proud of her volunteer work at Lynchburg General Hospital for more than 20 years. Jackie was an active member of Keystone Baptist Church until illness prevented her to travel. The family is grateful for the tender care given by Gentle Shepherd Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Campbell County Animal Shelter at FOAC. She supported the care and adoption efforts of all animals. Their address is: 1400 Edley Place, Lynchburg, VA 24502.

Her remains will be scattered at the Old City Cemetery at a later date.
