Talmadge Robert Routon, 87, of Lynchburg, died Monday, December 08, 2014. He was the husband of the late Doris Pugh Routon.
He was born July 12, 1927, in Lynchburg to the late Hobson Routon and the late Lena Roach Routon.
He served his country in the US Army during World War II, and was a member of Clearview Baptist Church. He worked at D. A. Hines before his retirement.
In addition to his wife and parents he is preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
Talmadge is survived by a brother, David Routon, and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Thompson, both of Lynchburg; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Spring Hill Cemetery, with military honors provided by American Legion Post #16.
