Tammy Renee Mitchell Blunt, 41, of Lynchburg died Sunday August 31, 2014. She was the loving wife of Anthony Dwight Blunt.
Tammy was born October 29, 1972 in Lynchburg a daughter of John Wayne Mitchell and Susan Morgan Mitchell. Tammy worked as a Certified Medical Assistant at Lynchburg Hematology and Oncology Clinic and was a Methodist by faith.
In addition to her husband and parents she is survived by her daughter Jayde Elizabeth Blunt and her son Ian Dwight Blunt both of Lynchburg, and a brother Edward “Eddie” Wayne Mitchell of Lynchburg.
A Celebration of Tammy’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Rivermont Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ron Cox officiating. The family will receive friends for a reception immediately following the service at the Alan B. Pearson Cancer Center.
Memorials may be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society, 3305 Naval Reserve Road Lynchburg, VA 24501.
