Teddy Wayne Williams, 68, of Amherst, died Thursday, July 14, 2016. He was the husband of Nancy Gail Williams.
Ted was born December 14, 1947, in Lynchburg, a son of the late Emmett Earl Williams and Opal Williams of Altavista. Teddy honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and was a professional floor installer.
In addition to his mother and wife he is survived by his son, Thomas Williams and his fiancée, Serenity of Amherst; two brothers, Barry Williams and his wife, Vickie of Altavista, and Michael Williams and his wife Ann of Richmond; two step-sisters, Kathy and Linda; his step-mother, Verrnelle Williams of Lynchburg; a special friend, Cecil Gillispie; his best friend and canine companion, Sam; and numerous other close friends and family.
A Celebration of Teddy’s Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016, in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg with Pastor Bobby Brumfield officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
