Terry Howard Beckham

Terry Howard Beckham, 80, of Lynchburg passed away Friday, September 27, 2024 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Charlotte Leibig Beckham.

Terry was born in Columbia, South Carolina, July 18, 1944, a son of the late Raymond Beckham and Hester Matthews Beckham. Terry was a jack of all trades. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, and also loved his dog “Bella”. There was not anything in the world Terry couldn't cook. Terry loved listening to Blue Grass music and he always had a story to tell you. 

He is survived by his three daughters: Teresa Murray (Tom), Gloria Beckham, and Lacey Beckham, seven grandchildren: Bradley Redcay (Jazlyn), Ciara Branham, Chayton Branham, and Tanner Murray, Alphonso Martin Jr, Tyrell Brown, Rah'jae Smith, brother-in law Kenneth Leibig (Sandy), brother Reginald Beckham (Shelia). He is also survived by long time friends Billy Benton, Mack Bryant, and the son he never had Byron Chavis.

Terry is preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. The family would like to send thanks to Lynchburg General Palliative care team for all their help in his last days. 

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
