Terry Lee Brooks, 56, of Lynchburg died on Thursday, December 31, 2015, at his home. He was the husband of Mary Ann Conner Brooks.
Terry was born in Union, WVA, on December 16, 1959, a son of the late Marshall Brooks and Shirley Cook Brooks.
After retiring as a Sergeant First Class from the U.S. Army, Terry worked as a vendor for Utz Quality Foods.
Terry was a dedicated Redskins fan who was overjoyed at them making the playoffs! He also loved being outside in the woods or working in his yard.
In addition to his wife, Terry is survived by two sons, Christopher Smith (Marie Doss) and Sean Brooks (Renae Brooks); one step-daughter, Michelle Jennings; three grandchildren: Mason, Jackson, and Lucas; a brother, Timmy Brooks (Kaye), and one niece, Alyssa Brooks.
A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held in the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg on Monday, January 4th, 2016, at 11:00AM with Pastor Marvin T. Suitt officiating.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 3rd, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg.
