Terry Lee Knight, 63, of Forest, died Friday, September 23, 2011.

Terry was born April 19, 1948 in Lynchburg, the son of his best friends, the late Charles Ernest Knight Jr. and Mildred Joyce Knight

Terry was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He retired after 33 years working with Appalachian Power. He was an avid hunter and loved being outdoors.  His favorite hobby was riding his custom Harley\"™s since the age of 16. Terry was also able to fix and build anything his self. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict.

In addition to his father, Terry was preceded in death by grandparents, Samuel B. Driskill Sr. and his wife Della Steele Driskill; his paternal grandparents Charles E. Knight Sr. and his wife Minnie Shifflett Knight; and a sister, Reny Knight.

In addition to his mother, Terry is survived by his daughter, Kelley Sanders and her husband Justin, of Altavista, three sisters, Daronda Brooks and her husband C.W, of Rustburg, Debbie Martin and her husband Roger, of Concord, and Libby Knight of Lynchburg; a granddaughter, which was the apple of his eyes, Chloe Grace Sanders; three nephews, Ryan Martin, Wade Brooks and Ben Brooks; a niece Deronda Lancaster; and a former wife and special friend Rhonda Knight.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.  A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 in the Knight family plot in Concord Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating.
