Terry Lynn Wilson, 67, of Evington Virginia passed away peacefully, the afternoon of July 18th, leaving behind a legacy of love, music, and strength.
A dedicated Ironworker at Archer Creek Foundry for 30 years, Terry transitioned to a second career as an Officer at BRRJA, where he worked for another almost 15 years until his retirement in 2022.
Terry is survived by his children, Amy Lowe (Tommy) of Evington and Brandon Wilson of Lynchburg VA, his three adored grandchildren, Baylee Lowe, Ayden Lowe, and Ariana Davis, and his companion and best friend Deanna Boyer. He also leaves behind his brother Charles Richard Wilson Jr, sisters Diana Bradley and Nancy Ingram, and nephews Michael Ballas (Paula), Michael Ingram, Jr, along with numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.
Terry’s passions were as diverse as his talents. He had a great love for the outdoors. He loved taking long rides on his Harley & enjoyed summers on the lake with his family. He could rebuild and repair any small engine, often times working on family members vehicles, and grilling up meals for everyone on Sunday afternoons. Terry loved his yard work and plants, but nothing matched his love for his family and music. An accomplished musician, Terry could master any string instrument he touched. His family especially cherished his banjo and guitar skills which filled their home with the sounds of bluegrass and gospel music that he loved so much. An excellent griller and a devoted fan of "Andy Griffith" Terry was one of a kind.
Terry fought a tremendous and complicated battle with Leukemia and emerged victorious in spirit, now resting in the peace of his Lord and Savior, reunited with his parents Charles and Merle Wilson. His musical renditions of heavenly bluegrass songs now take on a new meaning.
Above all, Terry was a beloved father, brother, and the very best PaPa. His children and grandchildren will continue to celebrate his life and carry his memory in their hearts, ensuring his spirit lives on through the music he cherished and the love he gave.
