Thelbert Admiral Davis, JR. 86, of St. Cloud, FL passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, in his home in St. Cloud, FL.
He was the devoted husband of the late Jewell Wise Davis for 53 years. Thelbert “Bert” was born July 8, 1935, in Lynchburg, Virginia. He was the son of the late Thelma Norvell Davis Fugate and the late Thelbert Admiral Davis. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a brother, James Davis, and two sisters, Maxine Peters and Shirley Davis Proffitt.
Bert worked at the Allen-Morrison Sign Co., the Lynchburg Foundry, and retired in St. Cloud Florida. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Baptist by faith.
Bert is survived by his children: Mark W. Davis and wife Molinie of Mesa, AZ; Dennis C. Davis and wife Maria of Leonardtown, MD; and Vickie L. Davis of St. Cloud, FL. In addition, by six grandchildren (Daniel, Erik, Judith, Kevin, Michael, and Sarah) and one great-grandchild (Elliot).
He was a fisherman and artist at heart. He is survived by many friends and loved ones (Penny, Tommy, Darlene, and Phil). He loved the outdoors and being on the water.
There will be a graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
