Thelma “T” Weaver Bohn, age 93, died peacefully in Lynchburg, Virginia on February, 18, 2017 at The Summit Assist Living. She was the wife of the late Raymond Theodore Bohn, Jr.
T was born on December 7, 1923 in Brightwood, Virginia to Joe and Ruby Weaver. She graduated from The University of Virginia School of Nursing in 1944. In 1945, she married the love of her life, Raymond T. Bohn, Jr. In 1980, T and Ray retired in Winchester, Virginia where they spent many happy years together until Ray’s death in 2004. T moved to Durham, North Carolina in 2012 and returned home to Virginia in 2015. T greatly enjoyed gardening, golfing, playing bridge, and traveling. She also loved everything related to UVA, but most of all, T loved her family.
T is survived by her three children, Raymond T (Trey) Bohn, III of Durham, North Carolina, Cyntheal Fisher of Rocky Mount, Virginia and David Bohn of Forest, Virginia; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A reception celebrating T’s life will be held at Mountain View United Methodist Church’s fellowship hall, 1077 Viewpoint Lane, Forest VA 24551, (across 221 from Forest Middle School), on Sunday February 26, 2017 from 2:00p.m to 5:00 p.m.
