Theodore Chester Pulkownik
Theodore \"Ted\" Chester Pulkownik, 81, of Hardy, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born April 12, 1930 in Chicago, IL, a son of the late Frances Wojiskiewicz Pulkownik and William Boleslaw Pulkownik.
Ted was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy, and he was a retired Broker with Proctor & Gamble. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Henry Pulkownik and a sister, Irene Greenway. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Oberzan Pulkownik; two children, Ann Eckert of Boston, MA and Ted Pulkownik of New Canaan, CT; six grandchildren; a brother, William \"Bill\" Pulkownik of Tampa, FL; and a sister, Lucille Wakefield of San Diego, CA.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or a charity of your choice.
A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
