Thomas Daniel Goodman, also known as Roc or Buckethead, age 40, of Gladys, passed on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at his residence. He was the husband of Treva Mays Goodman.
Born on July 27, 1976 in Man, W. Va., Thomas was the son of Thomas Earl Goodman and Helen Cantrell Goodman. He graduated from Appomattox High School in 1995, where he wrestled and played football. Roc worked as a maintenance mechanic at Tri-Tech, Cycle Systems, Archer Creek, and Griffin Pipe before opening his own businesses, Illuzion Motor Sports, T.G. and Sons Audio, and Tri G Welding.
Along with his wife and parents, Thomas is survived by his sons, Logan and Dakota; his daughter, Tristan; his first wife and friend, Jessica Akers; and his mother-in-law, Peggy Mays. He was a wonderful and loving father, husband, son, and friend who will be greatly missed by all.
A celebration of Thomas’ life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, with Dr. Charles King officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
