Thomas Doering Coleman, of Forest, Virginia, died on January 13, 2021, due to a fall in his home. He was born on October 27, 1961, in Lynchburg, Virginia, a son of the late Edward Franklin Coleman and Margaret Doering Coleman.
He is survived by his children, Keri G. Coleman (Trevor Berberian) of Amherst County and Chase R. Coleman of Appomattox and grandsons, Kacen Bond and Zane Berberian. He is also survived by a brother, Edward F. Coleman, Jr. (Angela) of Amherst County, a sister, Jane C. Rechenbach (Douglas) of Richmond, many nieces and nephews, and a devoted friend, Kathy Nicholls.
Tom lived in the Lynchburg area his entire life and had many friends. He had a career in the home building industry until 2002 and continued using his building skills helping friends as well as the YMCA with small projects. Tom was also a partner of First Choice Auto, Forest, VA.
Meals on Wheels was dear to his heart, and he looked forward to his monthly delivery routes. He loved hunting and fishing, but most of all, life.
