Thomas "Ed" Edward Martin

Thomas “Ed” Edward Martin, 71, of Forest died Monday, January 11, 2021. He was the husband of Judy Glover Martin for over 18 years.
Ed was born October 7, 1949 in Appomattox, Virginia the son of the late Marvin Lynn Martin and Virginia Morris Martin. Ed honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, was a professional electrician by trade and was a past member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children: DeWayne Martin, Denise Tolley and her husband Thomas, and Melanie Carter, five grandchildren: Hannah Borders and husband Caleb, Chandler Tolley and wife Brianna, Cohen Martin, Ely Carter-Williamson, and Grayson Tolley, and one sister JoAnne Reddy and husband Michael.
The family will celebrate Ed’s life and receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2021 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg. A graveside service will follow with military honors at St. Stephens Baptist Church in Tye River.
In lieu of flowers, donations to charities are preferred.
