Thomas Edward Wade
Thomas Edward Wade, 50, of Altavista, went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 16, 2014. He was the loving husband of Tonda Farthing Wade for 27 years.
Born September 19, 1963 in Fort Leonard Wood, MO, he was the son of the late Julian Wade and the late Mildred Governor Wade.
Tommy loved racing and working on cars from a very early age, working with his dad and taking on the family business Wade & Son Garage.
In addition to his wife, Tommy is survived by his daughter, Morgan Wade Caldwell, and her husband Daniel, of Nathalie, a grandson, James Caldwell, of Nathalie, and his mother in-law, Gypsy Farthing. He is also survived by a host of aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from to 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 PM on Sunday, January, 19, 2014, at Gospel Light Baptist Church. (Address: 31 Kingston Rd, Evington VA 24550)
A celebration of Tommy's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Gospel Light Baptist Church with the Pastor Scott Dean officiating. Interment will follow in Altavista Memorial Park.
