Thomas Harold Brennan, 97, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Bedford Memorial Hospital. Born in St. Petersburg, Florida on March 7, 1914, a son of the late Harold Frances Brennan and Anna Delila Bellas. He was reared a Roman Catholic and received his higher education at St. Petersburg Jr. college and the University of Florida. His long life spanned six wars, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf and Iraq. He was a retired Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force, Strategic Air Command. He was a lover of all animals and he also loved playing golf. He was a devoted father, grandfather and even a great-grandfather. In addition to his parents Thomas was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Sarah Kathleen Hall Brennan; two brothers, Paul Cooney Brennan and Sydney Francis Brennan; one sister, Alice Mary Brennan Rigby; and one great-grandchild, Georgia Yeager.
Thomas is survived by four sons, Thomas Michael Brennan and his wife, Burnadette, Harold Flynn Brennan, Phillip Brian Brennan and Patrick Kelly Brennan; one daughter, Sarah \"Sally\" Kathleen Brennan; one brother, Richard Harold Brennan; ten grandchildren, Carrie Whitt and her husband, Scott, Darcey Hefley and her husband, David, Corey Brennan and his wife, Shannon, Daniel Waldron, Brittany Newman, Danielle Brennan, Braden Brennan, Aaron Brennan, Ethan Huffman and Jacob Huffman; 5 great-grandchildren, Taylor Whitt, Alex Yeager, Elijah Hefley, Karly Hefley and Hailey Brennan; also numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. The Family would like to express their gratitude to Thomas\"™s special aid, Jennifer Ayers and to Bedford Hospice Care, especially Kathy Neas.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 1pm Thursday, December 1, 2011 with Father Salvador Añonuevo officiating. Burial will follow in Virginia Memorial Park Cemetery. American Legion Post 16 will provide military rights. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00pm prior to the service at the church.
