Thomas Hawkins

Thomas Hawkins, 80, of Lynchburg, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015, at his residence. He was the loving husband of the late Drene I. Hawkins. He was also preceded in death by his parents Carlisle and Sara Clements Hawkins; and three brothers, Carlisle, Phil, and Dan Hawkins. He was a retired diesel mechanic from John P. Hughes for 28 years. He is survived by a daughter Penny H. Fisher, and her husband Steve; two grandchildren, Jasmine R. Fisher and Spencer L. Fisher. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.

A visitation will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. The family will also be receiving friends at his residence, 1103 Dearing Street, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. earlier that same day.
