Timothy Michael Hammersley
December 27, 1976 — September 23, 2020
Timothy Michael Hammersley, 43, of Lynchburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Lee Hammersley and Nancy Gail Hammersley; three brothers, Steven, Clarence, and Joseph; a nephew, P.J.; and one grandchild.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Hammersley; two brothers, Phillip McKinney (Teresa) and Tommy Lee McKinney (Virginia); five stepchildren, Jaime Hardy, Ashley Anderson, Brock Reynolds, Alex Reynolds, and Eric Reynolds; 11 grandchildren; three nieces, Deborah, Sara, and Mandi; three aunts; two great-nieces; two great-nephews; and his furry friend Elly along with numerous relatives and friends.
Tim had a lifelong passion for video games which he loved to share with all of his grandkids. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids on family vacations, Sunday dinners, and showering them with gifts. Tim’s passion and love for his games and family will carry on through many more years in his beloved game room.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A Celebration of Life will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Keystone Baptist Church located at 212 Fleetwood Drive Lynchburg, Virginia 24501.
