Toney Newton Robinson, Jr.

 

            Toney Newton Robinson of Lynchburg, formerly Mayberry, WV, passed away at home late in the evening on Friday, January 11, 2013.  He was born March 19, 1950 and raised in Jolo, WV.  Toney was an excellent auto body and repair technician.  He last worked for a long time friend at Al\"™s Body Shop in Welch, WV.

             Toney is preceded in death by his father, Carl Wilson (Bill) Robinson.

           He is survived by his mother, Fannie Elizabeth Robinson, 89, of Lynchburg; one son, Kenneth Dewayne Robinson and wife Mary of Princeton, WV; one daughter, Toni Anita Winebarger and husband Jonathan, of Anawalt, WV.  He also leaves behind one sister, Verdie Lou Waldron of Lynchburg and two brothers; William D. (Danny) Robinson and wife Reba and Ray Thomas Robinson and wife Maxine, all of Lynchburg. Toney is the grandfather to three grandchildren; Tyler and Sarah Robinson and Savannah Winebarger.  He is the uncle to four nieces and two nephews along with ten great-nieces and nephews.  Toney also leaves behind his close and longtime friend, Joe of Lynchburg.

             The family will receive friends, Monday, January 14, 2013 from 7:00-8:30 PM at the Tharp Funeral Home on Breezewood Drive.  The Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 2pm with Reverend Lenn Lloyd officiating and interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
