Valton R. Hammersley, Jr., 62, of Lynchburg, passed Monday, October 21, 2019.
Born February 10, 1957 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Valton R. Hammersley, Sr. and the late Joyce Carwile Hammersley.
He is survived his daughter, Christine Donald and her husband, Brandon, of Roanoke; two granddaughters, Ella and Hannah; two aunts, Katherine Widemann (Fred) and Peggy Stinnett; and a cousin, Myra Trent (Kevin).
A celebration of Valton’s life will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg at 4 p.m. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Rd., Lynchburg, VA 24502.
