Vanessa Renee Ward, 52, of Lynchburg, died Sunday, September 3, 2017. She was the loving wife of David Ward, Jr.
Renee was born on June 22, 1965, in Lynchburg, Va., the daughter of the late Doris Jean Sorrels.
She was a very kind and caring person, always ready to help whenever needed. The main thing she liked to do was read to and spend time with her children and grandchildren, she lived for them.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Jessica Justice, Jennifer Woods, Nathaniel Woods and his wife, Kara, Taylor Ward and Fiancée, Jordan Farmer, and Shay Ward;12 grandchildren, Sean, Brayden, Payton, Keira, Ean, Gavin, Paxton, Karson, Lucas, Pace, MacKenzie and Heidi; three sisters, Rhonda Evans, Dawn Burns, Sarah Link, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017, from 2 p.m.to 4 p.m. at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 110 Church St., Madison Heights, VA 24572. Following the memorial service there will be a family gathering at Jordan and Taylor Ward’s home in Forest, Va.
