Vera Elizabeth Creasy Schreiber, youngest child of the late William Abner Creasy and Laura Wheeler Creasy, was born on December 3, 1921, and died at Westminster Canterbury, Lynchburg, VA on June 8, 2014.
She is survived by her husband, R. David Schreiber, sister, Mary Marsh, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the mother of 3 sons. Vera interrupted her nursing training to serve several years in the U.S. Army.
The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service in the chapel at Westminster Canterbury is planned for a future date. She will be interred in Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an organization of your choice or First Presbyterian Church, 1215 VES Road, Lynchburg, Virginia 24503.
Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, Lynchburg (434-237-9424) is assisting the family.
